HOFT MISSION STATEMENT

To provide the best educational services to our clients and an intellectually stimulating work environment for our associates, which will help propel innovation in learning and understanding within a global, cross-cultural framework.

HISTORY

Beginning as an education service provider for the local Austin Texas community in 1982, HOFT Institute, formerly known as House of Tutors, has developed into a multi-dimensional corporation that specializes in providing solutions for the international education market.

ACCREDITATION & AUTHORIZATIONS

HOFT Institute is authorized by the BCIS (Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services) to issue I-20 visas to F-1 international students, and has decades of experience in assisting foreign students who wish to come to the US to study. We are fully accredited by the Accrediting Council of Continuing Education & Training (ACCET), a non-profit organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.  HOFT is authorized by the Texas Workforce Commission to provide vocational training.

ACADEMIC SERVICES

The broad scope of our programs includes individual and group tutoring, standardized test preparation, mentoring programs, English as a Second Language (ESL), teacher professional development, corporate English courses, and program development services for government organizations, corporations, and schools.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING

In 2018, HOFT launched our Game Design and Development certificate program which was created in collaboration with game studio professionals and seasoned industry experts.  HOFT’s Game Design and Development Lab allows skilled candidates to gain the studio experience and professional network they require to land a position in today’s competitive job market.

AWARDS & TESTIMONIALS

The Thomas R. Tillia Community Service Award is presented to one institution each year at the ACCET Annual Conference, and HOFT Institute was selected to receive this in the fall of 2017, from among a competitive field of dozens of other educational institutions. We were recognized for our work with refugees from impoverished and war-torn regions. This award recognizes a school that demonstrates an ongoing, positive impact on its local community by benefiting the people, and/or the infrastructure, and/or the natural environment.
